Purple Crinkle Cookies

Ingredients
  

  • ½ cup unsalted butter softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup melted white chocolate slightly cooled
  • ½ teaspoon baking powder
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • Purple gel food coloring
  • ½ cup powdered sugar for rolling
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar for rolling

Instructions
 

  • Beat butter and sugar until fluffy, then mix in eggs and vanilla.
  • Add melted white chocolate and stir until smooth.
  • Whisk flour, baking powder, and salt, then mix into the wet ingredients to form a soft dough.
  • Add a small amount of purple gel food coloring and adjust to your desired shade.
  • Chill the dough for at least 1 hour.
  • Roll tablespoon-sized balls first in granulated sugar, then in powdered sugar.
  • Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 9–11 minutes until crackled on top; cool on the sheet 5 minutes before moving to a rack.

Notes

• Don’t skip chilling—it's essential for perfect crinkles.
• Add food coloring slowly to avoid thinning the dough.
• A thick powdered sugar coating gives the boldest crackle effect.
