Patriotic Berry Trifle Cups – Easy No-Bake Party Dessert

Ingredients
  

  • Trifle Cups:
  • 1 store-bought angel food cake 10 oz
  • 2 cups heavy whipping cream
  • ¼ cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 8 oz cream cheese softened
  • 1 cup sweetened condensed milk
  • 2 cups fresh strawberries hulled and sliced
  • 2 cups fresh blueberries
  • Garnish:
  • Extra berries
  • Whipped cream
  • Fresh mint leaves optional

Instructions
 

  • Cut angel food cake into 1-inch cubes.
  • Wash berries. Hull and slice strawberries. Rinse and dry blueberries.
  • Beat heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla until stiff peaks form.
  • Beat cream cheese until smooth and fluffy.
  • Add sweetened condensed milk to cream cheese. Beat until combined.
  • Fold whipped cream into cream cheese mixture gently.
  • Layer angel food cake cubes in bottom of each cup.
  • Add layer of cream mixture.
  • Add layer of sliced strawberries.
  • Add another layer of cake cubes.
  • Add another layer of cream mixture.
  • Top with fresh blueberries.
  • Repeat for all 12 cups.
  • Cover and refrigerate at least 1 hour.
  • Garnish with extra berries, whipped cream, or mint before serving.

Notes

  • Use clear cups to show off layers
  • Dry berries completely before using
  • Cut cake into bite-sized pieces
  • Do not overmix cream — fold gently
  • Layer in same order for uniform cups
  • Chill before serving for best flavor
  • Make ahead up to 24 hours
  • Store covered in fridge up to 2 days
  • Frozen berries work — thaw and drain well
  • Can use pound cake or sponge cake instead
