Parmesan Garlic Artisan Bread

Crispy on the outside and soft inside, this Parmesan Garlic Artisan Bread bursts with cheesy, garlicky flavor. Simple to make and perfect for soups, pasta, or a cozy side.

Ingredients
  

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour or bread flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp instant yeast
  • 1 ½ cups warm water 100°F / 38°C
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan plus extra for topping
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp dried Italian herbs optional

Instructions
 

  • In a large bowl, mix flour, salt, and yeast. Add warm water and stir into a sticky dough.
  • Add garlic, Parmesan, olive oil, and herbs. Mix until combined.
  • Cover and let rise at room temperature for 12–18 hours until bubbly.
  • Shape into a loaf, place on parchment, and let rise 30–60 minutes.
  • Preheat Dutch oven to 450°F (230°C). Transfer dough inside, sprinkle Parmesan, and cover.
  • Bake 30 minutes covered, then 10–15 minutes uncovered until golden brown.
  • Cool 30 minutes before slicing.

Notes

Best served warm with soup or olive oil dip.
Store up to 2 days or freeze slices up to 3 months.
For dairy-free, use nutritional yeast and extra olive oil.
