Ninja Foodi Chicken Fajitas (Air Fryer)

Ingredients
  

  • 1.5 lbs chicken breast sliced into strips (or use chicken thighs)
  • 1 red bell pepper sliced
  • 1 yellow bell pepper sliced
  • 1 green bell pepper sliced
  • 1 medium onion sliced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Juice of 1 lime
  • 2 tablespoons fajita seasoning store-bought or homemade
  • Optional: Flour or corn tortillas guacamole, salsa, sour cream, shredded cheese, fresh cilantro, or any of your favorite toppings
  • Homemade Fajita Seasoning Optional
  • Mix together:
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • ½ tsp cumin
  • ½ tsp smoked paprika
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp onion powder
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp black pepper
  • ¼ tsp cayenne pepper optional

  • Prep & Season:
  • In a large bowl, combine the sliced chicken, bell peppers, and onion. Drizzle with olive oil and lime juice. Sprinkle in the fajita seasoning and toss everything together until well coated.
  • Preheat Ninja Foodi:
  • Turn on your Ninja Foodi and select the “Air Crisp” function. Set the temperature to 390°F (200°C) and let it preheat for 2–3 minutes.
  • Air Fry:
  • Add the seasoned chicken and veggies to the air fryer basket in a single layer. Air fry at 390°F for 12–15 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through.
  • ➤ Make sure the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F.
  • Serve:
  • Warm tortillas and fill them with the sizzling fajita mix. Add your favorite toppings like guac, salsa, sour cream, shredded cheese, or fresh cilantro.
  • ➤ You can also serve over rice, cauliflower rice, in a salad, or wrapped in lettuce for a low-carb option.

Notes

 

  • Want extra char? Cook for an additional 2–3 minutes.
  • No Ninja Foodi? Use any air fryer at the same temp/time.
  • Spice it up with ½ tsp cayenne or red pepper flakes.
  • Make ahead: Season chicken and veggies up to 24 hours in advance.
  • Serving ideas: Over rice, in salads, or as fajita bowls.
