Servings 4 1 pint

Ingredients

  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract or vanilla bean paste for richer flavor
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  • Make the Ice Cream Base:
  • In a mixing bowl, whisk together the heavy cream, milk, sugar, vanilla extract, and salt until the sugar is fully dissolved.
  • Freeze the Base:
  • Pour the mixture into your Ninja Creami pint container.
  • Seal with the lid and freeze completely flat for at least 24 hours.
  • Process in the Ninja Creami:
  • Remove the pint from the freezer. Install it into the Ninja Creami machine.
  • Select the “Ice Cream” function and let it run.
  • Check Texture & Re-spin if Needed:
  • If the ice cream is crumbly or too firm, use the “Re-spin” function for a smoother, creamier consistency.
  • Serve & Enjoy:
  • Scoop and serve immediately, or return to the freezer for later.
  • For added fun, try mix-ins after the first cycle using the “Mix-In” setting!

Notes

  • For a softer texture, add 1-2 tablespoons of corn syrup to the base before freezing.
  • Want a lighter version? Swap heavy cream for half-and-half and use a sugar substitute.
  • Enhance the flavor by using vanilla bean paste instead of extract for an even richer vanilla taste.
  • Mix-ins: Stir in chocolate chips, caramel swirls, or crushed cookies after the first cycle for extra texture and flavor.
