Prepare the Base:
In a saucepan over low heat, whisk together milk, cream, sugar, cocoa powder, and salt. Heat until sugar dissolves and mixture is smooth (don’t boil).
Remove from heat, stir in melted chocolate and vanilla.
Chill the Mixture:
Pour into a Ninja Creami-compatible pint container. Let it cool to room temp, then cover and refrigerate for at least 6 hours or overnight.
Freeze the Base:
Once chilled, freeze the container for at least 24 hours, ensuring it’s completely solid.
Process in the Ninja Creami:
Insert the frozen pint into the Ninja Creami machine. Select the “Ice Cream” function.
If needed, use the “Re-spin” button for extra creaminess.
Add Mix-Ins (Optional):
Create a well in the center, add your mix-ins, then run the “Mix-In” function.
