Honey Butter Glazed Carrots

Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb carrots sliced into rounds
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1/4 cup water or broth
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions
 

  • Combine carrots, water, butter, honey, and seasonings in a large skillet.
  • Bring to a simmer over medium-high heat.
  • Cover and cook over medium heat for 8–10 minutes until tender.
  • Remove lid; increase heat to medium-high.
  • Cook for 3–5 minutes, stirring constantly, until liquid becomes a thick glaze.
  • Garnish with parsley and serve.

Notes

Watch closely during the final stage to ensure honey doesn't burn.
If using baby carrots, no slicing is needed, but cooking time may increase by 2 minutes.
For a vegan version, swap butter for olive oil and honey for maple syrup.
Reheat leftovers in a pan with a teaspoon of water to restore the glaze's shine
