Frozen Grapes with Lime Zest

Ingredients
  

  • Frozen Grapes:
  • 1 lb seedless grapes green, red, or mixed
  • Zest from 2 limes
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice
  • 1 tablespoon granulated sugar optional
  • Pinch of salt optional
  • Garnish:
  • Extra lime zest
  • Fresh mint leaves optional

Instructions
 

  • Wash grapes thoroughly. Remove stems. Pat dry.
  • Place dry grapes in large bowl.
  • Zest limes directly over grapes.
  • Add fresh lime juice.
  • Add sugar and salt if using.
  • Toss gently until evenly coated.
  • Line baking sheet with parchment or silicone mat.
  • Spread grapes in single layer. Do not let them touch.
  • Place in freezer.
  • Freeze at least 2 hours until completely frozen.
  • Transfer to freezer-safe bag or container. Keeps up to 3 months.
  • Serve frozen. Garnish with lime zest or mint. Eat immediately.

Notes

  • Dry grapes completely before freezing
  • Spread in single layer to prevent clumping
  • Do not skip zest — provides most flavor
  • Use fresh citrus for best taste
  • Freeze on tray first, then transfer to bag
  • Eat frozen — do not let thaw
  • Make big batch — keeps for months
  • Any grape color works
  • Sugar is optional — grapes already sweet
  • Can freeze other fruits same way
