Flatbread Pizza Ideas

Ingredients
  

  • Per Pizza:
  • 1 flatbread or naan bread
  • 3 tablespoons pizza sauce
  • ¾ cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Toppings of choice see 12 ideas in article
  • Olive oil for brushing
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • Place flatbreads on a baking sheet.
  • Brush each flatbread lightly with olive oil.
  • Spread pizza sauce evenly, leaving a border.
  • Sprinkle mozzarella cheese over sauce.
  • Add chosen toppings. Do not overload.
  • Season with salt and pepper.
  • Bake for 10 to 12 minutes until cheese is melted and edges are crispy.
  • Remove and cool for 2 minutes.
  • Slice and serve immediately.

Notes

  • Do not overload toppings — less is more for crispy flatbread
  • Brush with olive oil first to prevent sogginess
  • Use thin layer of sauce — too much makes it wet
  • Pre-cook wet vegetables like mushrooms and peppers
  • Add delicate toppings like basil and arugula after baking
  • Watch closely — they cook fast and can burn
  • Make multiple flavours at once on one baking sheet
