Easy Peppermint Truffles

Ingredients
  

  • 8 oz cream cheese softened
  • cups powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon peppermint extract
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt
  • 12 oz semi-sweet or dark chocolate chopped or chips
  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil or butter optional
  • Crushed candy canes white chocolate drizzle, or cocoa powder (optional)

Instructions
 

  • Beat cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth and thick
  • Add peppermint extract, vanilla extract, and salt; mix until fully combined
  • Refrigerate mixture until firm enough to roll
  • Scoop and roll mixture into small balls, place on parchment-lined tray
  • Chill again until firm
  • Melt chocolate with coconut oil or butter until smooth
  • Dip each truffle into melted chocolate, tapping off excess
  • Add toppings if using
  • Refrigerate until chocolate is fully set

Notes

• Peppermint extract is strong—use carefully
• Chill well before dipping for clean coating
• Room-temperature cream cheese ensures smooth filling
• Store chilled for best texture
