Chocolate Chip Blondies

Ingredients
  

  • Unsalted butter – ½ cup 113 g, melted
  • Brown sugar – 1 cup 200 g
  • Granulated sugar – ¼ cup 50 g
  • Eggs – 2 large room temperature
  • Vanilla extract – 2 teaspoons
  • All-purpose flour – 1¼ cups 155 g
  • Salt – ½ teaspoon
  • Chocolate chips – 1 to 1¼ cups

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8×8-inch pan with parchment paper
  • Melt butter and allow it to cool slightly
  • Whisk melted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth and glossy
  • Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition
  • Stir in vanilla extract
  • Fold in flour and salt just until combined
  • Gently mix in chocolate chips
  • Spread batter evenly into prepared pan
  • Bake for 30–35 minutes until edges are set and center is slightly soft
  • Cool completely before slicing

Notes

Do not overmix after adding flour to keep blondies chewy
Slight underbaking ensures soft centers
Use more brown sugar than white sugar for classic blondie flavor
Let blondies cool fully for clean slices
Optional flaky sea salt on top enhances flavor
